ian 182 0 Posted June 1, 2006 Report Share Posted June 1, 2006 When i turn my fan on in the car to no1 nothing happens and only when i move to setting 2 does the air come out of it...Also after about 20 mins of driving the switch becomes hot to touchAny ideas people???thanksian Link to post Share on other sites

My MK2 had a similar fault in as much as the fan only worked on fan speed 3, found the resistor was nackered, but the resistor was mounted on the fan motor. Not a lot changes at VW so I imagine the resistor is in the same place so although this would explain your fan speed problem it would not explain the heat. Link to post Share on other sites
