matth76 1
HiJust had some new Eagle F1 tyres fitted to my two front wheels. My wheels are the standard 15" bbs alloys. The tyre size is 195/50/15. However I have noticed the speed rating is "82V" instead of "86V" which is what is used to be on my old 205 width tyres. Is 82V fine for a VR6 and is it only the "V" / letter that matters, not the number? What does the number mean.. is it lower because I am on smaller 195 width tyres? Thanks for any help. cadguy77 0
Check here mate http://www.blackcircles.com/general/sidewall . the number before the letter (v) is the load rating for the tyre. Higher the number, the higher the load
matth76 1
Cheers mate. Now I understand 82 should be fine. Saw Tim today at The Phirm. Definitely going to get one of their quick shifts. Did you just ask for one inbetween race spec and stock? I wouldn't mind having it much shorter... wish I had it for tomorrow..could reduce my quarter mile times! Have you had a chance to open your car up and test those cams you had fitted?
cadguy77 0
I've opened her up, feels a bit sluggish low down, defo in need of a remap so no record times down the 1/4 2moro, but will have to wait until i get a schrick, saves mapping twice
