The illumination around the headlight buttons doesnt light up any more the only bit that still glows green is the centre of the headlight knob everything else around it is black! Ive noticed that it could be a lose connection cos its done it a few times recently and ive just tapped the pannel and its all come back on again but last night no amount of tapping would work! Everything else in the car all lights up and works perfectly, any ideas? How do you get the pannel off? Link to post Share on other sites

blackmagic 0 Posted March 25, 2006 Report Share Posted March 25, 2006 You need to carefully prise the whole switch out in one go , if you carefully lever the abs panel out first you can then get to the side of the switch and guage where to start applying presure , dont pull by the round dial you turn the lights on / off with it should only come out just past the dash before you have too struggle with releasing the wiring harness. vr6madmike 0 Posted March 27, 2006 Author Report Share Posted March 27, 2006 Just been to VW after getting the unit out theres a hole in the back of the unit which you can get to the bulb thru so ive orderd a new bulb and holder about 4quid!
