matth76 1
HiI'm getting a gmax kit fitted tomorrow. I understand there is a 2 week "settling in" period for new suspension. How should I drive the car during this period? Do I have to take it real easy round corners? Will how hard I drive it affect how 'low' the car settles or will it not make any difference?Cheers for any help.
FishWick 21
Makes no difference at all.Dampers are perfect on day 1 and deterioate from then on, there's no such thing as bedding them in. Oil is forced through tiny little holes in the damper piston permanently, so things get progressively worse, not better. The springs might 'settle' after 6 months or so and lower the car a bit more but just drive it as normal and enjoy it whilst the dampers are still fresh ;-)
matth76 1
Thanks for the reply. The gmax kit uses gas dampers... not sure if that makes a difference?
dubberVR6 0
You should drive it slow with the tunes pumping and checking out the admiring glances of your low rider! 8)
