kev-morris 0 Posted March 14, 2006 Report Share Posted March 14, 2006 Hi all,Is it possible to remove the lense of mk3 vr6 headlamps, mine has a big crack down it (incidentally, just passed the MOT with it). The lense seems to be held on with clips but im not sure if it has sealant behind to stop moisture. The reason I ask is that I have a set of lights with the inner mountings broke but with perfect lenses.Kev Link to post Share on other sites
francisjonno 2 Posted March 14, 2006 Report Share Posted March 14, 2006 Quite easy mate once you've got the lights off the car.As you say remove the clips (4 i think) and the heat around the edge of the lense with a heat gun or hairdrier to soften the sealant.Once its nice a hot prise the plastic and lense away from each other - be careful not to clip the glass.When you put it back together run a bead of silicone sealant around the orginal seal or they're prone to misting up.Good luck Link to post Share on other sites
