TUTBO kit in the UK

Recommended Posts

Hi,

That price was for a conversion, so not a DIY kit of parts as such.

We are currently developing a RHD fitment DIY kit.

Due to the nature of the conversion full 100% kits arent really possible. Some people supply them, but the fitment isnt great, and power gains small.

We will shortly be able to supply all the major components - either seperatly or as a kit, Turbo, RHD manifold, Downpipe, Maf housing, injectors, boost pipes, but some other parts will be required to get a perfect fit in your particular vehicle.

Will post info when its all done, but price will be very competative. For example we can supply the RHD fitment manifold for only £250 plus delivery.

Tom.

lag is always a problem in turbo applications, generally worsened as you enlarge the turbine housing as it takes longer to spool the turbo up to speed! turbo's generally produce, or can be made to produce, more bhp than a supercharger, but are more tricky to fit and get right if you want to do it properly! superchargers are generally a bolt on affair and most come with plug and play generic software for the intended models! more difficult to get huge horsepower figures with a charger, so turbo is the way to go if you want oputright power, but as everything else in life, bigger and better means you need deep pockets for the end result! anything over about 350bhp in a fwd car is approaching the limits of tractability too, unless you go for different boxes, custom driveshafts/cv's and a host of other goodies that will help put the power down and stop the thing once you get it wound up at high speed!

What he said :)

Turbo is trickier, lag depends on turbo choice. the more power you go for is gonna get a little more laggy.

I'm after pretty high power on mine, so have compensated by fitting a lower final drive, keeping the engine higher up the revs.
