ssaenger 0
hi guys,I was thinking of installing a leather interior into my mkIII vr6, the cloth ones are starting to rip on the sides. As mkIII's seem hard to come by (see sharky's thread) i was wondering how easy it is to install another cars interior. Maybe a mkII's or even a mkI as i here they are similar, my dream is sitting in the local scrappy, some leathers from an '89 911.I know the back seats will have to be from a mkIII but really i dont sit there so just leathers on the front will suit me.awaiting your feedback, cheers dudes.Steve
katconcarne 0
i've got rs turbo recaro half leathers in mine, they took about an hour to fit in and required bucket seat subframes (made for the mk3) which were tailor made so bolted straight on. the back's not too difficult either if you strip the material off the new seat and trim it on to your standard one, tidies things up a bit!leathers from an '89 911 would be awesome!good luck, Katie
stockers 1
TT ones are supposed to fit pretty well
dubloke 4
most seats from different models or other makes will need some sort of subframe mod in order to fit them to a mk3! best to have a look round to see which ones are going to be the easiest to convert and be cost effective in doing so!
