acf8181 0
well, it hasn't been workin at all for a few months...which hasn't been an issue as the car hasn't been!anyway, i changed the sender, and the plastic thing that goes into the box appeared ok, so i thought it was the actual clocks. thus, i have been looking for a second hand set with similar mileage.anyway, went to go for the MOT today (they didn't check it by the way!), and it starts workin, well sort of. it works fine upto 20mph, then the needle starts 'wobbling' and doesn't gop any higher!any idea's? VR6Steve 0
I am no mechanic, but could it be the cable/drive at the gearbox end? My guess is more mechanical than electrical anyway.
acf8181 0
thats exactly what my logic is tellig me, however the spinny thing thats attached to the sender seemed ok, is there another part thats down in the box (hope not, or i'll have to take the box out!) acf8181 0
there isn't a cable...its all electric, theres just the plastic spinny bit, which goes into the sender.
VR6Steve 0
Ah, does it look as though the plastic spinney bit can be replaced?
