nells vr6 0 Posted January 16, 2006 Report Share Posted January 16, 2006 where is the thermo stat and the water pump located on the vr as i was driving home from havin an exhaust fitted when the temp warning light came on and temp went up too so i pulled over and the water had boiled away so i refilled the water and started again and within 2 miles the temp was flashing again Link to post Share on other sites
kilokilla 0 Posted January 16, 2006 Report Share Posted January 16, 2006 thermostat is in plastic housing on side of block above gearbox towards front of engine mate.and wter pump is on opposite side of block under auxillery belt tensioner.check water bottle and cap aswell and radiator for leaks aswell also they can leak round thermo housing cos they can break aswell mate.plus oil cooler on bottom front ov engine (square alloy block with big bolt sticking out of frontand 2 little hoses coming out of it).
