jezmoz 0
i have just spent the best part of two hours trying to fit a replacement scuttle panel, everything went fine until i tried to put the studs back in, they will not go in no matter how hard i push, can anyone enlighten me to how it is done, bentley manual says nothing, the studs have a peg that a stud pushes into, i presume you put the peg under the scuttle panel and then push the stud in from above???? This is what i tried and failed , i even tried a rubber mallet, wouldn't budge, these panels are brittle so didn't want to go mental! cheers jez
Seademon 0
I've never replaced one before but dont they screw in? They look to have some kind of phillips head on but as I say - not done one before!
jezmoz 0
they push in, but the steel under the scuttle panel is very bendy, doesn't help, why they didn't use studs like the ones on either side which don't have pegs and just push in , who knows, but either way a right design fault

wayne_1@tiscali.co.uk 27
u pull the peg right down so the screw sits out u then push peg into hole first then the screw pushes straight in had same prob until i figured it out
jezmoz 0
found that I was putting the pegs in wrong, they need to be vertical and not horizontal, was really easy , shame i cracked the panel before i discovered!!! to the scrappy i go
