fritzenberg 3 Posted January 5, 2006 Author Report Share Posted January 5, 2006 right,all the fuses are ok,took the switch off and the only power i`m getting is to the grey/blue wire for the backlight,in total there are 7 wires,there is a thicker one which is black/red - i take it this is the mains and should have 12v at it when the ignition is turned on? any ideas someone?? RIX 0 Posted January 28, 2006 Report Share Posted January 28, 2006 yes the fuse is number 14,the one for the back lights,my seat dont work either,vw in flensburg said the relay under the seat is pron to sort circurt,so my next step is under the seat when the weather is abit better,too cold to work out side right now. VRVIRGIN 0 Posted January 28, 2006 Report Share Posted January 28, 2006 I have one seat that works and one that doesn't. When switching the working one on, i get that click from the switch. But the other one doesn't click, or work obviously, could that also be the relay guys? Gonna swap the relays round once i get a spare mo and see. Link to post Share on other sites
RIX 0 Posted January 29, 2006 Report Share Posted January 29, 2006 21 rear spoiler adjustment,i think you found the one for a corrado mate,yours still dosnt say which fuse is the seats but vw has said its number 14,but that still only says back lights and yours also say washer jet heaters;IAM GETTING MORE AND MORE CONFUSED;vw also said the relay is under the seat. purple highline monster 0 Posted January 29, 2006 Report Share Posted January 29, 2006 possition 17 and 18 above the fuse board state they are for heated seat relays... there is also a relay under the seat, this is usually the cause of non operation, the heaters only work if you are sitting on the seat when its swithched on!
