jezmoz 0 Posted November 24, 2005 Report Share Posted November 24, 2005 I tried to replace the bonnet cable (s) last night, and there was absolutely no pull on it at all, i don't see how you can tighten it?? It's the same cable(s) i had before, there's only one way of fitting as far as i can see. I put the catch on with loose nuts shut the hood and pulled the lever and nothing happened. When i got the mrs to pull the lever i could see the cable was not moving the cable attached to the catch but the cable closest to the footwell was moving???? everything is attached but it's soo slack!! Has anyone fitted one? Is the catch gone? It springs open when i use my thumb to trigger it like the cable should???? Confused beacuse the cable i replaced was longer and had 'pull' !! Bentely manual says it's a straight swap, i beg to differ! Link to post Share on other sites
