matth76 1
HiMy car is occasionally quite juddery for the first five to ten minutes when it is cold...more often when it's wet (but happens when it's dry too). When I press the gas pedal it judders. Ten minutes later it's all fine and smooth.I have been told on here it's likely to be caused by damp. Will replacing all the HT leads cure this problem? Thanks for any info.Matt
silverline 0
possibly, depends where its getting damp? mines very similar only does it when cold but no worse in the wet.
matth76 1
Could it be my coilpack? What else could it be? Bearing in mind my car is absolutely fine after ten mins.
matth76 1
Just had The Phirm look at my car. Turns out every single one of my spark plugs were no where near tighted up properly! Had a full service (inc. all new spark plugs) back in August... by Caffyns! Never taking it back to Caffyns again! Says a lot.
silverline 0
has it fixed the problem?
Nerih 0
check the ignition system, basically, spark plugs, ht leads, coil pack, medium voltage wires to coilpack, and ESPECIALLY ECU pins that carry marginal current to the coilpack, they always corrode! matth76 1
Seems to run fine so far (much smoother as the spark plugs are now properly in)... although time will tell and it hasn't rained recently which is when it often used to occur.
