matth76 1
HiI've noticed a couple of small nicks/dents in the side strip (colour coded bit that juts out half way up underneath the windows) that goes along the sides of the car. The area in question is on the driver door. Can the side strip be replaced easily or is the whole door permanently fixed to the side strip?
mattverth 0
It's on dodgy clips and the best way to sort it out appears to be removing the door card ans squeezing/pushing the clips. The clips are well dodgy, and if you put another one on, supplement the clips with a smidge of contact adhaesive, checking first that it isnt a paint-eater.
stockers 1
no need to remove door cards, the strips come off real easy just prize them off where each clip is. you will need to get some new clips as they always break. they only cost about 20p each. i wouldn't use adhesive its never strong enough, the clips work much better and are easier to remove if you need to do it again
uber-tub 0
just slide the strip to the rear... the white clips fit into a slot in the strip. They slide in sideways so slide out sideways. The basic GTi strips are about
Petesvw 0
Allready painted strips can of course be filled and repainted, even back textured ones can be re-textured.
