28v6r 0 Posted October 22, 2005 Report Share Posted October 22, 2005 Well ...so far a great Saturday for me... driving the VR out to a friends approximately 25miles away, baring in mind I gave her a good...**Ahem** ..thrashing last night on the M8 back from Edinburgh cruising at the Big Kahuna... not problems indicated there... then this morning... pulled away from a 3 series Bimmer only to see large puffs of smoke pouring out the back of the car (White) acompanied by the temp warning light on the dash, guage was still normal, no overheating ... ... pulled in and switched off, popped the bonnet only to find that all my coolant had disappeared outta the bottle and onto the ground... further investigation show that the impellor housing for the Auxiliary water pump had blown clean off !amazed and was dangling in the wind.. (Still connected to the heater hose...) a bad day for me cos' I'd just ordered a new thermostat housing and thermostat, ready to replace and now I need a new one of these @ Link to post Share on other sites
