28v6r 0
Fuel Pump Relay, common fault.. tends to overheat then cut out, was told when I got mine replaced that it was a common fault in VRs , it cools and allows the car to redriven then it will repeat...its the bottom right relay in the fusebox as you look on to it..... silverline 0
engine speed sensor is commonly known for giving these symptoms.
jdhobbs90 0
could that the reason why it wont start?Where is the speed sensor located?
silverline 0
could well be. think i read somewhere on the forum that if the ecu doesnt pick up any signal from the speed sensor then it will just shut everything down.its located on the front of the block, about 2 or 3 inches to the right of the oil filter and housing, with 1 black lead running off it.i ve just taken mine off because i thought it was giving trouble. but on inspection it was covered in crap so i think it was working ok but not recieving a sufficient signal to run right. but i ordered a new 1 to fit to mine.take yours out to see if it is covered in crap. i ve cleaned mine up and think its working ok. if yours still doesnt run you can try my old one before commiting to a new one. if it works great if not then try a new one.but clean yours 1st to see if that works. silverline 0
not hugely so, im not too good with uploading pics on to the site so i aint too sure how to get pics up.but if you look at the oil filter housing its almost but up against the flange that the gearbox bolts to. i will try to get some photos up but cant promise anything. and they will be with a camera phone, sorry
