Nerih 0
cant you use carb spray and cotton ear clearners like on the tb?
Slim 0
Dunno if they're the same on VR's, but on my Mk2 valver, I just flooded the thing with WD40.
uber-tub 0
just disconnect the ISV and spray carb cleaner into both holes (ooh er!) Leave it in for as long as you can stand and then tip it up unto your mum's clean kitchen floor. Repeat until there is no mucky stuff coming out - just lovely clean fluid. Job done. If you can be arsed, try to hold the valve open ( by rotating the drum inside) to give it a more thorough seeing to.
uber-tub 0
then, of course, put it back on your engine!
tasja 0
many thanksi will try carb cleaner and let you'll know if it works
Nerih 0
carb cleaner is polly better than wd40, becuase its expected that its going to be combusted, where as wd40 isnt supposed to be put in an engine.
badboyV6 4
plus carb cleaner evaporates pretty quickly :-) think i might give this a go this weekend....
VR6Rich 3
Give it a go on what Warren? You dont have an Idle Control Valve! LOL
Nerih 0
putting wd40 in your inlet manifold is not the same as putting NOS...dont get confused, it has many uses, but injecting it into the cylinders isnt one of them .
