mattverth 0
Just received and had painted a venom sport front 2 bar debadged grille and venom spoart air intakes to replace crappy black plastic things on lower front bumper. The grille is alright i suppose, in that it fits, but one edge ducks too far back and doesnt line up with front wing. The air intake things look great painted but are a pain to fit, The bolt eventually goes in with out cross threading. When fitted, they sit proud of the bumper. I was wondering if anyone has tried getting these properly integrated into the bumper, ie fixed from inside the bumper, smoothed and blended in and then painted. A guy on the front cover of golf plus seems to have done this, wondering if anyone here has had luck with it? I am sure it is worth persevering because they look pretty good as is. However, if you have air con and were thinking about a cold air intake to the air box from the neat round hole in these, think again - the carbon canister sits right in the way! VR6Rich 3
Thats why most people remove their carbon cannister as its not really needed.
