VR6OC News Bot 30
Nürburgring appeared safe new Focus RS500, which we hope that will debut next year already in 2017 Geneva International Motor Show, looks almost the same as the standard version of the RS or expected to be so far the most powerful Focus. As we said two weeks ago: Given that, the RS’s 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine is already operating close to its maximum. It would undoubtedly get a power upgrade from the current 350hp, the RS500 would likely benefit from the weight saving ( is expected the hardcore version to lose 100 kg (220 lbs)) and a new front bumper that would allow Ford engineers to add cooling capacity to accommodate additional power. The fastest-accelerating hatchback and history could feature and some mechanical enhancements, including an electronic limited-slip differential for the front axle to improve handling and switching the standard six-speed manual gearbox with a dual-clutch unit. The same source says that the RS ‘optional 19-inch alloy wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires may also come standard on the Focus RS500. Ford performance targets to break the 4.0 sec 0-100 km / h barrier, and to surpass the main rivals facelifted Mercedes-AMG A45 which completes the sprint in 4.2 seconds and the Audi RS3 4.3 sec.It would therefore be an extreme version of the Focus RS that could become a “hatchback with the best acceleration in history.” Focus RS500 can be expected in early 2017, in a limited edition.
