VR6OC News Bot 30 Posted April 26, 2016 Report Share Posted April 26, 2016 Volkswagen has confirmed plans to unleash a more powerful version of the GTI Clubsport at the 35th Wörthersee Meet. Described as the most powerful full-production Golf to date, the GTI Clubsport S was recently caught on camera during the tests. The company didn’t reveal much details, but only stated that special edition has been developed as a secret mission with help from engineers and racing drivers. The engine will deliver 310 hp/ 228 kW, while the model’s driving profile is being set up for the Nürburgring. We can also expect the Clubsport S to come standard with a six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive, a unique suspension and damper setup. Also can be assumed that will be some additional weight savings, a new exhaust system and a larger brakes. Volkswagen will provide more details at the car’s debut on May 4 at the Worthersee.
