VR6OC News Bot 30
This gorgeous muscle car is coming from well-known builders, Ringbrothers. Originally introduced at the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, this car started its life as a 65 Mustang fastback, but was then completely overhauled by brothers, Jim and Mike Ring to feature a 427 cubic inch V8 engine from Wegner Motorsports. Equipped with a powerful 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger, a competition camshaft and crankshaft, the engine generates massive 959 hp and 858 lb-ft of torque. All that power is sent to the rear axle via a six-speed Tremec T56 transmission, while four massive Baer 14.0-inch brake discs and 6S calipers make sure a driver can control so much power. It rides on beefy HRE wheels wrapped in Nitto Invo tires. A new fully custom exhaust system with Flowmaster Supper 44 Mufflers as well as a newly-designed headers with 2-inch primaries are also added. The car’s body is made completely of lightweight carbon fiber and has been widened by two inches on each side. The Espionage is finished in a custom BASF Glasurit 90-Line Waterborne paint color called “Spy Green.” inside, the vehicle has been equipped with Recaro bucket seats, classic-style wood-rimmed steering wheel, Race Pak IQ3 instruments and billet aluminum pedals. “Espionage has been a huge undertaking for our little shop. Over the past few years, it has been an incredible challenge, but one that’s also been incredibly rewarding. When Mike and I build a car, we always try and come up with something that nobody’s ever seen before and I think that the work we’ve done on ‘Espionage’ really qualifies that statement,” said Jim Ring.
