maxmc2 0
Car was running fine last week when I put a new battery in it, went to start today and car starts then immediately cuts out and the oil light flashes, I've over ridden the immobiliser with the fob and tried a different key but doesn't change anything, any ideas where to start? First thing i thought of was water ingress into the ecu after all this bad weather, hope not. TIA
dom.joy 87
Have you tried Throttle Body adaption?
maxmc2 0
Is this the alignment you are referring to via VAG COM?
dom.joy 87
You can do or you can disconnect the battery then re connect. Turn key to on but do not start, wait and you should hear it clicking. Give it some time then turn key to off. Wait and then start ignition.
maxmc2 0
Ok so an update on this. I finally found my cable and plugged it in to vag com and got an error that the immobiliser has blocked the start of the car. I disconnected the battery and shorted it out then connected it back and and hey presto it started, only thing is that when i turn it off then on again im back to square one. Any ideas why this would have happened since fitting the new battery?
