rsweeney 40
the vr6 seems to crunch into reverse from cold however once warm its fine, only occasionally catching slightly. gearbox has had fresh 75w90 synthetic oil but still getting the crunch from cold possibly related - it has clutch judder so pressure plate/ friction plate is on the way out any ideas? bennyk 1,238
Before I read the last sentence I was thinking clutch could be on its way out. Mine does the same and I reckon my clutch could is on its last legs.
Bealieboy 1,625
Synchro worn out from too many snappy gear changes? My mistake, that's second gear! Edited July 7, 2015 by Bealieboy
rsweeney 40
yeah, for the £90 it costs to replace clutch im going to do it and fingers crossed it sorts the crunch out, if not at least it will get rid of the judder just wouldnt have thought a clutch issue would be temperature related ?! Bealieboy 1,625
Do you have the full range of pedal throw? When first started, on the vr, I can lift the clutch pedal 40-50mm. The pedal firms up a bit after allowing me to fully engage the clutch when selecting gear, I think it's master cylinder on mine causing the bother, would that be a possible for yours?
