It is hard to describe but seems to align with the rotational speed of the wheel/brakes. It is a kinda whirring noise as opposed to a clicking. I have checked for play in wheel bearings and shafts and both seem fine, maybe a little in out movement on shaft. Have recently upgraded to 312mm brake setup with dimpled and grooved disc, not sure if this would cause a whirring noise when braking. Will re-check pads and everything is seated okay.Will also re-check the dust shields are not hitting the disc.
