bojanglez 5 Posted January 23, 2015 Report Share Posted January 23, 2015 Ive allways been a strickly american v8 guy but ive gained some friends awhile back who are strickly VW and they introduced me to the vr6. i love building engines and this one has caught my eye, im planning to build it from ground up and my knowledge of v8's doesnt help much with picking the right block ect for performance builds. my question is which block would be the best? stregth/size/ compatabilty ECT... any info would be helpfull Link to post Share on other sites
VR6king 18 Posted January 28, 2015 Report Share Posted January 28, 2015 Look for OBD1 VR6 out of a Corrado or 1993-1994 Passat. They come with Forged Cranck from factory, and dual chain/Sprockets. They will hold more than OBD2 motors but you can switch to OBD2 wirring and all. They are 2.8L. Thats what i have always went for when Turbo them. bojanglez 1 Link to post Share on other sites
