tombarker1991 2 Posted October 10, 2014 Report Share Posted October 10, 2014 Finally picked up my first Corrado pretty familiar with the MK4 platform of VW's having owned a bora and currently driving a 1.8T golf on a day to day basis. But the desire for something older finally took hold after helping a mate out with some of his projects and after a few days trawling on the internet and a few texts and a bit of cash exchanged I came home with a 1990 1.8 16v, I had been told that the engine had recently had a rebuild by a former owner but upon closer inspection it definitely hasn't, the closest it has come is an oil and oil filter change so with a little bit convincing and a bit of help from a friend he sorted me out his 2.8 VR6 setup he had bought to convert into his MK1 Golf but has got too much on with other projects. So here is a couple of pictures as it currently sits waiting for the old 16v KR to be pulled out tidy the bay up and get the VR rebuilt and ready to drop in so hoping to use all the knowledge on here to steer me through it all...
