abvsean 32
Right been on with firing up the vr finally but now not getting a spark....I have been reading lots of threads online on vortex/corradoforum and any others google throws up.. I guess its the crack knock sensor as i have had the ecu away to have immobiliser deleted and checked and came back ok and working. anyone know what ohms value i should be getting on a working sensor? the fuel is coming through and im guessing the injectors are working as the plugs had some fuel on them. also is this fuseboard missing anything just to check as people are on about 109 relay but mine has 32 in it but it ran like this before i took the engine apart
Lumpzta 1
if your engine is obd1 then you will need 109 relay but if obd2 then the relays in your fuse box is fine. when you say you have no spark it wont be a knock sensor as this just picks up any knock in the engine and will adjust ignition timing to stop the knock, have you tried checking the crank position sensor? this could be a possible culprit
abvsean 32
ah right i thought the crank position would stop the fuel as well?ill check it today though i think i should be looking at 500-700ohms for it to be ok.I was sure it was a obd1 as its from a corrado 1995 and has the tell tale signs on the TB etc,so i need to replace 32 with a 109?? mattvr6 133
Have u had the engine out? Not put any plugs the wrong way round?? Have u got the fuel lines on the right way ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
abvsean 32
I have had the engine out fella and rebuilt it,labelled everything up,only thing no connected is the gearbox gear selector sensor that wouldnt be it would it?also have a single yellow and black wire not connected. The incoming fuel line is the top one in the picture along the fuel rail then through the regulator to then return is that right?or should it come through the regulator first, but im getting fuel its just the spark. I am gonna check everything again now just been out and got a 109 relay as i think this 32 shouldnt be in there if its a obd1.been to local scrappy to look at a couple of vr6's for reference. I'm getting 502 ohms on the crank position sensor so think that's ok just need to recheck everything,The immobiliser had been deleted by United Motorsports and had been written checked ok on their from.if it was it wouldn't crank would it? abvsean 32
swapped 32 relay for 109 still nothing, does this definatly need to bee in here? fuel pump is priming and got fuelk at fuel rail but not fuel through injectors.. so now no fuel or spark. reconnected big plug for engine harness.can i test anything to prove ecu's getting power? abvsean 32
well been trying fault finding today, cheers for the help also had alot of help from the good chap at united motorsport but ran into an issue with power supplying the ecu. Pin 54 that should have a permanent 12v im getting only 7.8vPin 38 should have a switched 12v on 1st ignition im still only getting 7.8vPin 23 should have a 12v when cranked but getting 0v anyone else come across this? The ignition is abit slack feeling between off/1st/crank is this a common issue with the corrado for these to go faulty? Carrying on with it once iv been and gotten some more beer to sooth this headache
