mrslippery22 2
So I'm quite sure that a need an alternator do to the fact that I put a new battery on yesterday and now this morning i was driving and my guages quite then the car just shut off. Is it possible to change the altornator with out going through the bottom or taking the bumper off, and is it ok to use a toughone 90 amp alternator, cause I'm not really feeling the 300 dollar thing with the 120 amp bosh alternator? Lukey. 381
You can jack the pulley side of the engine up to clear the chassis leg and get it in and out that way but it makes the job more fiddly than it needs to be. The amp rating should be fine, check the Ah on your battery, it'll probably be about 60.
