Bealieboy 1,625
Hi fellas, not sure if anyone has experienced this before. I topped up the vr this morning with just under 400ml, I may have spilt a bit during top up and I mean a bit. I drove 30miles and then had to creep around the car park and access road until I found a parking space, at this time I noticed a faint smell of oil through the blower vents. I have previously noticed this smell after an oil service, (assume fully topped up) however I don't notice the smell when the vr needs topping up. Have I got a waftie breather pipe or something more sinister? I have noticed the rocker gasket has been weeping a bit. Any suggestions or prior experience welcomed. Thanks in advance! Daverse 175
Whats your pcv valve like? If thats split you can get funes coming into the cabin. But change the rocker cover gasketSent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
Bealieboy 1,625
I wondered on the pcv, I'm not sure on location. Is it near the tb or on front right of rocker? You're right about the gasket, next time it goes in for work I'll get it replaced. Thanks daverseSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jamesw6810 80
Pcv is on the left back side as you look at it, hose comes off the intake pipe towards the block. http://www.vr6oc.com/forum/topic/19232-obd2-pcv-inlet-valve-common-fault-info-4-u/
Bealieboy 1,625
Cheers James, I thought that might be it, only coz it looks a bit bodged on the pipework near there. Probs had an induction kit on in the past as there's jubilee clips holding pipes on, doesn't look very factory to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
