TVR6 0
Hi, I'm looking for a decent VW specialist in the Middlesex area that KNOWS the VR6 and doesn't charge the earth. Can anyone help? I'm getting fedup with 'Ooooh, sounds like the cam chains, that'll be three days and £1400!Thanx
VR6Pete 1,455
thats expsensive, ive just had my chains done at stealth racing, generally is a couple of days worth of work if done properly, i think its about 600 + VAT or somet like that... its not cheap as the gearbox has to come off...P[ Edited Mon May 16 2005, 01:01PM ]
TVR6 0
Thanks for the reply Pete London prices! I spoke to Stealth not long ago and although very helpful I more or less got the same response except the £1400 did include tappets and reconditioning the head. Don't know if this is good or not? Such a pity that such a nice machine could potentially blow at any time. VWs response is that the chains last, wait for it... 'forever' of course they won't put that in writing or offer any sort of warranty on that advice.
