bazz780 0
i just bought my first vr6, 1995 - nreg, totally standard, i noticed a problem with the speedo needle, when i drive the needle tends to go looney as in it reaches over 150mph even tho i am only doing about 50mph and then at times it will scoop all the way down to 0-mph, i do not understand what the car is trying to tell me, but it is getting annoying as i cannot go through a speed camera without risking the speed i am doing, only sometimes does the needle show the correct speed.any ideas???cheers
FishWick 21
Try changing out the speedo transponder. Lives at the back of the gearbox with a multiplug connected to it. They're less than £20 from the stealer.....

FishWick 21
Not on mine but a Friends' Corrado G60 did the same (same 02A gearbox) and swapping out the sender cured it. I'm sure it was only £14 or something and 15 mins work with a spanner.....
