Supercharged vr6 lamba problem

Recommended Posts

Hi got a problem with my 1997 supercharged vr I can't get a lamba reading using Vagcom what so ever,so changed the sensor for a new one it's a NGK one, still no readings, checked all the wiring,I am getting a faulty ecu code all the time but the car runs ok but holds back a little until high rpms so I thought it was down to the chip install that went with the supercharger,do you think the ecu isn't registering the sensor.

Thanks for your time any help on why I can't get a readings would be great

Use a wideband afr reader to check fueling via your exhaust. If it's ok then not to worry.

If the ecu is not registering a signal from the lambda then it should switch to closed loop and just use the fuel map rather than use the lambda

You may find you haven't fitted the correct sensor. Lambda's aren't all the same. You'd need to find the correct matching sensor from oem.
