Hi il be doing my rear axle bushes soon and replacing them with poly types, think id be safe in saying a majority of vr owners are doing this when the stocks fail, what with the easier fitting and what not.

I was also having a look at the poly front top mounts and rear top mounts.

What are everyones opinions on these?

Im wanting to maintain a pretty comfortable stock ride

however at the same time tightening everything up and having a nice responsive handling car, If you know what i mean.

Would be great to hear your views on them and from folk who have used them vs the stock ones.

Also what type would be recommended, i see they have a track focused 'black' version as well now.

Thanks

I went for the full purple powerflex kit, I have oem new top mounts and AP coilovers which are known for keeping a nicer ride. I changed them as my originals were knackered. The change was immense, it didn't make the ride crashy much, in fact when going over bumps it feels like the car has a suppleness but tightness at the same time.

I think the powerflex stuff is very overpriced.

Have a search for flow-flex, small welsh company. They offer most bushes for the mk3 at a much more reasonable price.

I think they are a softer polyurethane, were easier to fit and not as harsh.

Not bought top mounts yet would like to hear some feedback though.
