The Duke 27
I want to smooth/shave the sills on my mk3. Will I be fine using filler? The only reason I ask is I'm not sure if it'll be to deep and with to much filler it'll just fall out??? Thanks
daveyboy 897
Are you talking about getting rid of the bubbly effect on the bottom of the sills? You could just get a DA dander on the and knock all the underseal back then prime and repaint them but I wouldn't recommend it really as you'll more than likely get loads of stone chips and the sills will be vulnerable to rust. I just left mine as you can hardly notice the underseal bubbles

daveyboy 897
well if it was me id get plate welded in and a really light skim of filler to smooth them. i just think if its full if filler it'll just crack and fall out.
