SankysVR6 1
Those of you who bought the aluminium water pipe (Crack Pipe) from US on the group buy some time ago now. How hard was it to fit the pipe with the engine in situ, and is it worth getting as I'm about to change the thermostat for the low temp variety. I can buy the whole kit including the housing, low temp thermostat, seals and a aluminium water pipe for about £100 do you think thats a fair price.

DundeeDub 0
i did it a while back, it wasn't actually that hard, thought i was going to have to take my front bumper off but in the end i took both intake manifolds off and did it from above.1 hint though, before you try and fit it take the rubber seal off the end that goes into the engine block then make a referance mark on the pipe so when you put the seal back on and fit it together you know how far the pipe needs to go to fit properly, i didn't do this and had to take the manifolds off again when i found a leak coming out of the thermostat housing.
