stefduff 0
Removed the gearbox from my car this evening to do the clutch. When I took one of the top bolts out the engine decided it would remove all coolant from the bolt hole? Is this for a reason? Or is my engine broked?
rsweeney 40
remembered hearing about this when doing my gearbox removal so Just read through the guide on removing vr6 gearbox and it states that "the two top bell housing bolts are different lengths make sure you dont put them in the wrong holes as u will puncture the water jacket and the engine coolant will leak out throu the bolts " maybe a previous owner has put the bolts the wrong way aroung and punctured the water jacket?
