michael5556 247
Morning all, my vr6 keeps on cutting out when it gets up to temperature. It blows fuse 15 when it reaches 90/95 degrees with the coolant. It's an obd2 and has a working fan controller unit. It has slim fans and they are all wired up. Only thing I can think of is the rad switch? But I may be wrong. This is really baffling me. Any ideas?
VIW28 29
Try bypassing the fan control unit. If they are slimline fans the chances are they have a fairly low draw. Run a fused power straight to fan switch and output from switch straight to fan and see how you get on.
michael5556 247
I've now got it too stop cutting out. But one fan is on all the time and on idle keeps the temp too 80 so the other one never got round to kick in... Need to sort that out now..
