Lukey. 381
you wont buy a genuine one online I've just replaced mine and you just cant find one. They are fair expensive too, about £110.you can buy the seals individually and if the cooler isn't leaking in the oil/coolant passages then new seals will do the job
robo22sri 0
new seals it is then lolI will have to go to the stealers then for the gaskets they are useless!
VR6Pete 1,455
Yeah just seals will do the job. Fairly common issue, the gaskets go hard over time, easy job.
Lukey. 381
In the Bentley manual it actually recommends the use of black oil resistant sealant each side of each gasket for the cooler, probably to resolve the hardening problem, if not for good at least for a lot longer
VeeRsix 0
id replace it with a rad cooler m8 ,any 9 row plus rad will do you and the sandwich plates about £20 of fleabay, so for a second hand rad and new plate you,d have a better OC system for circa £50 ?.StephenPs heres a couple i made earlier lol Adapter http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310318092725?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649Rad http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAGUAR-S-TYPE-OIL-COOLER-RADIATOR-/180937425049?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a20b60099

VeeRsix 0
My VR came fitted with what i believe is a sharan OC and ive owned it for 18 months now and had no issues whatsoever Lukey.Stephen
Lukey. 381
I'm not disagreeing with you, just saying you cant fit an external rad without a working oil cooler in the first place
VeeRsix 0
Lol thats my point m8 mine does'nt have the original cooler its just piped off an adapter plate directly to the rad.Stephen
