Tabx80 0
Finally got to use the car this weekend after all the work has been completed. 500 miles since fri and hasn't missed a beat. Used no oil or water so happy with that. However seem to have a couple of electrical gremlins. The handbrake light is nice and bright when you turn the ignition on. Comes on with the batt and oil light fine. Once you start the car it goes very dim. Operates as it should comes on when you apply the handbrake and goes off on release but you can only see it at night it's that dim. Also when you turn the alarm off the offside indicators stay lit. You have to turn the alarm on and off up to three times before they go out. Not sure on the make of the alarm at all sorry. Doesn't seem to have total closure but then that doesn't work off the key either. The heated screen and rear window buttons decide when they will work if at all. I think this is a common fault but wondered if there was a specific causeGoing to try a new battery at the weekend as I'm not sure the one on there is up to much but just wanted to see if I am missing a common problem somewhere. rsweeney 40
hi mate , dim handbrake light could be the actual bulb.you change this by removing the instrument panel ( the bulb twists into the back of this) , un twist the old bulb and twist in the new one.
Tabx80 0
Cheers mate. I did think of the bulb but before you start the engine it's at the correct brightness. Is a bit of a weird one.
