GordonC 20
Dont know if this is the right section but didnt know where else to put it.I've got a spot blaster and I'm wanting to blast my lower and upper inlet manifolds but I've heard you cant use sand. Has anyone done this before or know what media I should use ?Thanks, Gordon
daxmatt 0
Iv had manifolds done before and after looking into it I found that vapour blasting is the way to do it, its fine plastic beads that's used with water cleans better than New and doesn't damage mating surfaces Cheers matt
VR6Pete 1,455
Yep. I'll second vapour blasting. Had mine done too. Turned out amazing!

VeeRsix 0
Worked in the aircarft industry for a while and we used water and talc for minimal impact damage when cleaning parts prior to crack testing, the main problem we had with a small cabinet was limited vision when blasting. So post your intensions here m8 and ill see if theres any holes in your idea .Stephen
