Moochalargo 0
Hi guysI had a cracked block after cooking it when the serpentine belt went. After 4 rebuilds I got another engine. Rebuilt it and got it running only to be a new member to the red arrows with smoke pooring from the rear. Did new rings and shells and started it again to clouds and clouds of smokeBut after a while it started to clear. I took it for a drive and it feels very retardedWhen I tried to time it up it had no notch on the pully wheel to denote tdc timing. How do I change the timing now it's retarded. I can't face removing the head againPlease help
cabrioman 6
there is a tab on the clutch that should line up with the pointer in the top of the gearbox, fyi when the engine is timed up correctly its NOT at TDC,there is a guide in the premium members section how to check the timing, if the timing is out you will need to remove the upper chain cover and adjust it that way unless its out on the bottom then the gearbox will need to come off .... VeeRsix 0
Could be a false positive on the oil pressure switch m8 check this out first, but also do get a second opinion on your pump pressure or we all know what the outcome will be.Good LuckHope you sort itStephen
