Vw_owner 1 Posted May 10, 2012 Report Share Posted May 10, 2012 hi guys, got an absolute bargain of an audi A3 1.6 with 98k on the clock with mint black leather seats for £200!! it has a fkd gearbox,but just wandering has anybody converted these seats to mk3? work out alright? russj249 2 Posted May 10, 2012 Report Share Posted May 10, 2012 I would imagine (but correct me if I'm wrong) that the A3 seats may possibly have the same seat frame as the Golf MK4, in which case, they are not a direct fit, but with some precision bodging to the seat frames they can be made to fit.So I suppose the answer is how good are you with a grinder and a welder? lol Link to post Share on other sites

Vw_owner 1 Posted May 11, 2012 Author Report Share Posted May 11, 2012 does look good ^yea im expecting abit of welding and cutting, its actualy for my corrado not golf but someone on the corrado forum said that mk3 seats fit in , you just sit a little higher, iv just got to make that decision on wether to try n make them fit or not, either way i would have to buy cloth replacement seats for the audi so i can sell it on, Link to post Share on other sites

Cup your bum lower! LoL! :-d Plenty of cheap sets go on Ebay now and then, not that expensive compared to the Recaro. Link to post Share on other sites
