VR6SA 0
Whats are the sure signs the clutch is slipping. My revs will go up before the car actually pulls , it happens in all the gears. Is my cluch going?
fabio_vr6 0
sounds like it. best check is to put the handbrake on and try and pull away, if it pulls away then it should be ok
Seademon 0
Shouldnt that be that the engine will stall if you try and pull away with the handbrake up? !dodge
badboyV6 4
Nah, its ok- basically you give it decent revs- no need to pull off with the handbrake on- if youve got a good (and most mk3's havent lol) then you can usually tell by balancing it on the clutch with more revs. Youll soon know if your clutch is slipping!!! :-)
macas3 0
it will stink for a start drive to 30 mph then put it in 5th and accelerate hard if it goes fine if the revs rise without goin mutch faster then its slipping or give it some welly then change quick and give it some more if it revs high without gettin any faster and it stinks then its fooked, dont put handbrake on and try and pull away to mutch or you will defo damage it as this is how most people burn theres out doin hill starts and the like :?
