  1. my corrado has a intermittant fault when it is hot (90d) only it becomes hard to start and starts to stutter when driving its a 94 moel with the obd2 plug its had a new blue coolant sensor fitted and a new air mass meter (aftermarket) because it was also drinkin petrol as though it was free. the airflow sensor sorted that out but other problems still there its flagging up codes 00537 lambda reg exceeded 00553 airmass sporadic short t earth the lambda one now will not erase n think it needs a new sensor but the other one is the concern !! any ideas would be nice it drives perfect until it
  2. if its a wire next to the dizzy its an earth and should go from thedizzy cap metal suppression surroud to a lug on the head prob means the cap has been changed and the surround thrown away nowt to worry about tho
  3. all cars after 93 have to have a cat but you still have an emmisions test for pre 93 and would prob still fail but worth a try if you have one as limits are mutch higher
  4. check your oil cooler has not blown as you will get the same symtoms except it will drive ok its next to the oil filter and looks like it would have a filter in it this is mutch cheaper to replace and you say its driving the same just got oil in the water its a big possibillity
  5. make sure you fill it with oil first or you will get lots of very loud rattling and prob shit your pants be warned
  6. 15-40 oil or 10-30 synthetic 5-30 is for 16v engines like fords who have valve sticking probs vrs will smoke with it its way to thin like mine did and yes its condensation these things put a lot of it out
  7. get them to try it with the cat off it could be blocked
  8. get a mot station to do an emisions test on your car this will tell u if something wrong cud poss be lambda and test will show this but i bet its the chip changing the fuelling and sending to mutch fuel
  9. you have no chance of doin it in place the plug holes are to deep to get to unlike say 8v gtis as theyre east to get to i dont think you will be able to helicoil it anyway as you generally have to increase the size of the hole first for a smooth surface to helicoil it unless your very lucky if you do have to then the plug wont fit in the threads anymore hope your lucky!!
  10. put some radiator flush in before you drop the water then remove the radiator and flush backwards with hosepipe
  11. it will stink for a start drive to 30 mph then put it in 5th and accelerate hard if it goes fine if the revs rise without goin mutch faster then its slipping or give it some welly then change quick and give it some more if it revs high without gettin any faster and it stinks then its fooked, dont put handbrake on and try and pull away to mutch or you will defo damage it as this is how most people burn theres out doin hill starts and the like :?   12. sounds more like cv joints if its happening when your pulling away and stopping drive the car on full lock in circles at about 15 mph in a carpark goin both directions if it knocks constantly theyre knackered
  13. not being funny mate but as they say if you have to ask better not doin it yourself as mistakes can be very costly and you have to replace certain parts headbolts for instance as they are stretch bolts be very wary !!
  14. use a heat gun or a hairdryer to heat it up but not to close it pulls the pigment in the plastic out and is usually very effective
  15. look on ebay just fitted some and you can connect angeleyes up if you want to or not as they have separate wiring and they cost 140 inc post mutch cheaper than most places
