johnbyron 0 Posted April 20, 2012 Report Share Posted April 20, 2012 I’ve had this car nearly a year now and to be quite honest I’ve not had chance to do anything to it anyhow.Originally I bought this car from a guy at work, he said he bought the car whilst it was running and it was a good little runner, he said it was stood in the winter of 2010 and wasn’t started for about two months and when he went to start it, it didn’t want to even turn over. Now I wasn’t sure what to make of it so once i had it in my drive i tried a new battery and tried resetting the system but i had no luck all it did was beep at me, oh and theres a sound like something spining in the engine bay when the ignition is on but it doesn’t try to turn over.when you turn the key the light display and the fuel gauge jumps into action but this is only for a second before shuting off again.what do you guys think could be up with it?? oldmandon 1 Posted April 20, 2012 Report Share Posted April 20, 2012 Could be the immobiliser has kicked in and won’t disarm. Or, it could be something really stupid like a bad earth.
