robadobadob 0
Ive got a clicking noise on full left lock and it sounds like its coming from the n/side so I think I need a new/replacement that side. The car is being prepped as a track car so I'm considering a 2nd hand drive shaft rather than lashing out on a new one as I'd rather spend the extra cash on a race seat/suspension etc.Question is, are all Mk3 3 Golf driveshafts the same or are VR6 ones different? ashmk3 0
Driveshafts are all the same, only difference is the passenger and driver side lengths. You could even use gti shafts if there cheaper. I've done a mk2 vr6 and even the mk2 gti shafts are the same

Daverse 175
i have a 1.8, and the splines are different to a gti / vr6.
ashmk3 0
Ahh yes the splines forgot about those. I think the overall lengths are the same just the splines then
robadobadob 0
So, if I get a drive shaft from a similar aged Mk3 gti 8 v would that do the trick?
