leespiro 9 Posted January 28, 2012 Report Share Posted January 28, 2012 hi all ive had my front wheel bearings changed and my rear disk pads and bearings fitted but i can still hear a whining noise mainly when i slow down could bigger alloys on the golf mk3 vr6 make this noise or could it be something else Link to post Share on other sites

lee123d 0 Posted January 29, 2012 Report Share Posted January 29, 2012 if its still whining it could still be the front bearings not pressed in right and just split i had same prob and taiters on the driveshaftsried a second hand hub and it stopped or the abs disc maybe slightly bent and catching on tghe hub Link to post Share on other sites

lee123d 0 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Share Posted February 1, 2012 if the bearings were on the way out or went then it may have caused the stubs to swell abit one went on my car and the bearing melted it self to the stub i got it off then put a new one on and went instantly i changed the stub and its been fine ever since Link to post Share on other sites
