russj249 2
No engine covers, however your issue point more to damaged spark plug leads or a damaged coil pack.Test 1, at night when it is playing up, have a look down the spark plug holes and watch out for any sparks arcing out to the head.Test 2, follow the leads back to the coilpack, do a visual test of the coilpack to see if there are any cracks in the resin bits (not the actual plugs where the leads push onto) if there are cracks, then this could also be an issue in the wet.Failing no weather to test it in, fill up an ordinary kitchen, bathroom cleaner spray bottle with clean water, and spray a very light mist over the coil pack and leads and watch out for any sparks, and listen for it cracking. russj249 2
But from what you saying and the way you've described it, off the top of my head, the leads sound like they're knackered.
CALICO 130
Sounds like knackered ht leads or coil pack i have found spraying them with chainwax and leaving to dry can help with this in the short term but sooner or later you will need new leads/ pack.
