Biggazvr6 0
This morning it was really cold. Went to fire the car up and it starts then cuts out immediately. After about ten or so attempts it finally starts and stays running. Fuel pressure is fine, pump is running and I have no issues with the battery or sensors as I've just replaced them. Anyone any ideas?Cheers guys.
dan_a 1
I just had a very similar issue to this and had the ignition switch replaced yesterday, a common fault. Seems to be okay now but is still in 'testing'. Get it on vagcom mate to rule out other issues like immobiliser etc.

russj249 2
Obd2's have the ISV built into the throttle body rather than a separate valve.

bungy 2
Is it definately only an issue when cold or is it happening now when it just happens to be colder?
Biggazvr6 0
Well it did it a month or so ago when it wax freezing when I was having issues that turned out to be impulse sender. But it did it the other day when it was also a freezing morning. Once it's started it's fine, and it's ok every morning etc unless it's freezing. It's strange. It's almost like it needs the chalk on if u know what I mean. After about ten times or so of trying it fires and is fine.
Biggazvr6 0
Well it's a frosty cold night tonight. Car has been fine all week. We'll see if it starts in the morning first time or if it's a ten a times job like the last frosty night.
