GT35R V Band Size Clamp?

I know that the GT35R is 3 inch V Band, so I ordered a 3 inch V Band clamp off eBay, went to fit it over and it's miles off.

Internal diameter is 3 inch, and external of lip is 3.5 inch.

What size do I actually need, clamp and flange? Do I need a 3.5 inch V Band clamp and weld on fitting for downpipe?

Ive had that before, twice. its probably the seller getting it wrong as the measrue the clamp and not the v-band. Buy from a proper place that sells the turbos like GT3 turbo..

Cheers mate. i've looked on there before, and also another place i've had stuff off, only reason i didn't buy was because there's no measurements and want to be sure it's right first.

As above, order a proper Clampco 3" V band from a reputable seller and it will fit. I too have tried cheap copies and they're just a waste of space.

Well bit of an update on this, I thought it wouldn't hurt to measure things out and try this one. Ordered it Sunday night, and it turned up 1st thing this morning. Wanted to get home and test it before posting up results though. Anyway...

Its 3.5 inch when not tightened, but fully tightened there are 3 equal size slots around the band, suggesting a pretty perfect fit. Can't turn the clamp or downpipe flange at all so a good fit.

Only thing is, there is only about 1cm left on the thread of the clamp, but I can't get it any tighter.

A hell of a lot cheaper than GT3 turbo and a few other places too.
